  • This vegetable contains a significant amount of potassium, vitamin E and vitamin B complex.

Materials required

Carrot heads
  • 5 carrots
  • A flower pot 30 cm (12 inches) deep and 50 cm (20 inches) in diameter
  • Flower soil enriched with compost
  • Ecological liquid fertilizer

Instructions

  • First, choose the right carrots and cut the tops off.
  • All you have to do is cut the tops of the carrots you want to cook and, instead of throwing them in the trash, set them aside.
  • Put the tops of five carrots in a bowl of water (see picture above) and let them sprout.
  • As soon as they have sprouted, plant them in a flowerpot.
  • Do not forget to create adequate drainage in pots, using gravel.
  • You can grow carrots at any time of the year.
  • Carrots love the sun, so leave them in the light all day.
  • Water them only once or twice a week. Be sure to add a little liquid organic fertilizer to the water you use so that you grow strong and healthy carrots.
